Bio
Best known as the host of HGTV’s She’s Crafty, Gemini nominated TV host Wendy Russell has been surrounded by fashion and design her entire life – her grandmother was a wardrobe stylist, her mother an interior designer and her sister is a fashion designer. So it’s no wonder Wendy is passionately dedicated to fashion and design. Following her schooling in fashion styling, interior space planning and home staging, Wendy is now successfully juggling styling, staging and organizing homes & people. She has styled everyone from on-the-go moms to actresses to business executives, and as a member of POC (Professional Organizers in Canada) whips messy, claustrophobic closets into gorgeous, tidy spaces in no time flat.
Wendy’s live appearances continue to be a hit at Canadian Home Shows, where she presents topics such as Decluttering Your Space, Updating Your Look Using What You Have and Are You Sitting on a Gold Mine? As a D.I.Y. expert, she has appeared on the daytime TV hit Cityline and is a popular guest on Citytv’s Breakfast Television, Urban Rush, The Express and Omni TV.
As an actor, Wendy has appeared in over 30 television commercials, as well as films and television series, including Robson Arms, Alice I Think, Jeremiah, Stargate SG-1, The 4400, and Taken, as well as the feature film Eve and the Fire Horse and the Academy award winning film Juno with Ellen Page and Jennifer Garner.
A big believer in giving back, Wendy volunteers as a personal shopper/stylist for ‘Dress for Success’ dressing disadvantaged women who are beginning a new, exciting chapter in their lives. She is passionate about women living their lives to the fullest by teaching them to dress the body they have right now and to love themselves just as they are!
